Description

Diclofenac Sodiumis a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain in the body. Dosage

Voltaren® is used to treat:

• thritis (rheumatoid arthritis): This medication may decrease the amount of pain hormones (corticosteroids), which can occur during physical activity and should be taken at least 30 minutes before any activity. • other conditions: This medication may cause digestive symptoms that do not need treatment with Voltaren®. The most common symptoms of these include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and flatulence (gas) in the stomach.
• allergies: Voltaren® can cause a sudden decrease in blood clotting time, which may lead to serious complications. The drug should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.

Directions for use

Do not use Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets:

• against an allergic condition such as osteoarthritis (goes to 36 hours), rheumatoid arthritis (goes up to 8 hours) and any other type of inflammatory condition (goals of use are to speed healing).
• to a joint such as the:
• ankle, the cartilage on the spine (comprises bone and muscle) or the deltoid (a joint on the shoulder).
• to a tendon such as the tendon on your arm or the muscle tingling in the tendon (especially on the edges of aendonaments).
• as a result of a fall or impact, of which Voltaren Rapid tablets are signs.
• of an abnormal growth cycle of the joint.
• If Voltaren Rapid tablets become nosey, it is recommended that you wash your hands before you start treatment with an anti-inflammatory or pain-killer.

Contraindications

Do not use Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets if:

• you are allergic to diclofenac, any other medications, or any of the ingredients in diclofenac tablets.
• you are taking aspirin or other NSAIDs, like aspirin or ibuprofen, to prevent severe rheumatoid arthritis pain.
• you have a known or suspected allergy to diclofenac or any other ingredients of the tablets.
• you are under 18 years of age.
• you have ever had an allergic reaction to diclofenac or any other ingredients of the tablets.
• you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer or other stomach disorders.

Warnings

Use Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets as directed by your health care professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not use Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets if: You are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, unless your health care professional is convinced. Safety should be used very carefully to ensure that the drug is distributed throughout the whole treatment period. It is the responsibility of the patient to understand that diclofenac tablets are taken twice daily as recommended. If you forget a dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Seek medical help if you think you may have symptoms of a serious medical condition such as an allergic reaction to diclofenac or any other medication, or if you develop symptoms while taking the tablets.
